In 1940s New York, down-on-his-karma Stanton Carlisle charms himself to a visionary and her mentalist spouse at a voyaging fair. Utilizing recently obtained information, Carlisle makes a brilliant pass to progress by cheating the world class and well off. Expecting a major score, he before long devises a game plan to con a perilous big shot with assistance from a strange clinician who may be his generally imposing rival yet.
