For 10 charming years, youthful Mija has been overseer and dependable friend to Okja - a huge creature and a much greater companion - at her home in the mountains of South Korea. Yet, that changes when family-claimed, worldwide aggregate Mirando Organization takes Okja for them and transports her to New York, where a picture fixated and self-advancing Chief has large designs for Mija's closest companion. With no specific arrangement except for resolute in aim, Mija sets out on a salvage mission.
