"Power Book III: Raising Kanan" returns to 1991 when Supras are the whip of decision and a fly shearling coat is an image of status in the hood. Kanan explores this universe of excitement and coarseness as he makes his mark and escapes the shadow of his mom, Raq, who runs the roads of Southside Jamaica, Sovereigns, with her siblings, Marvin and Lou. Regardless of Kanan being under their full concentrations eyes, peril hides not far off. There's Interesting, an opponent seller who has his eye on the family's turf, and Criminal investigator Malcolm Howard, an irritating cop who gets a remove from bugging local area individuals and getting under Raq's skin.
